How to become a PRO

Every 3 months, we check if you’ve met the following criteria. If you do, you'll earn or keep your PRO status.

4.6+ overall star rating

​

PRO Chefs have a 4.6 or higher average overall star rating based on reviews for any given 3-month-period. Foodies know they can expect the best service and food from these chefs.

< 1% cancellation rate

​

PRO Chefs cancel less than 1% of the time. This means 0 cancellations for chefs with fewer than 100 reservations in a year. Rare cancellations mean foodies can book with peace of mind.

10+ bookings

​

PRO Chefs have completed at least 10 bookings over any given 3-month-period. Foodies are more confident to book with seasoned chefs.

90% response rate

​

PRO Chefs respond to 90% of messages within 24 hours. When foodies ask you questions, they know that they can count on a quick response.

Your questions answered

How do I become a Killer Chef PRO?

You do not need to apply to become a PRO. The PRO requirements are measured every 3 months. The assessment months are January, April, July, and October. If you meet the program requirements on any relevant assessment date, you’ll automatically qualify for PRO status and you will receive the badge. Killer Chefs will notify you of your PRO status at the end of each assessment period.



Is it possible to lose my PRO status?

Yes, if you don't meet the criteria over any given 3-month-period and you don't qualify, you lose your PRO status and all benefits that come with it. Don't worry because chef who have had their PRO status revoked may regain their PRO status during a future qualification period if they again meet the qualification requirements.
